Jeremy started at Capitis 26 years ago, and became an owner in 1998. Jeremy is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts and is a Certified Financial Planner. Jeremy is married to Heather and has two daughters. Although his playing days may be over, Jeremy is still a keen follower of the Wimmera Football League.
When it comes to running a successful business, Jeremy draws on years of practical experience to offer highly sought after and renowned advice. Jeremy prides himself on working closely with people to achieve long term financial success.
Simon became a partner at Capitis in 2006, after previous experience with Ernst & Young in Melbourne and a number of years at another Wimmera accounting firm. Simon is married to fellow Capitis partner Samara, and the couple have two children, Kirrily and Fletcher, who was born in 2014. Simon can be found in the Horsham office from Monday to Wednesday and the Warracknabeal office Thursdays and Fridays.
Simon is passionate about seeing clients thrive and through many years of helping his clients achieve success, Simon is renowned as a business growth specialist, and excels in wealth creation and tax planning.
Samara joined Capitis in 2001 and became an owner of the firm in 2006. Samara previously worked for Ernst & Young in Melbourne before returning to her hometown in Horsham. Samara is married to fellow Capitis partner Simon, and the couple have two children, Kirrily and Fletcher, who was born in 2014.
Samara works closely with her clients to provide significant depth of accounting and broader financial knowledge. Samara is also an expert in incorporated association audits and is registered with the Legal Services Board as an Approved External Examiner.
Michelle, who is a Certified Practising Accountant, has been a member of the Capitis team since 1999. Michelle and her husband Mark operate a farm in Rupanyup. Michelle and Mark also have three children; Scott, Brett and Olivia.
Michelle has had significant practical experience in a wide range of areas and offers expert advice in the areas of personal taxation, business tax and superannuation.
Brendan worked for the Commonwealth Bank for five years as a customer service representative, during this time he undertook a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ballarat. This study led to a change in career path, and Brendan joined the Capitis team in 2010.
Brendan is a Certified Practicing Accountant, and leverages from his previous banking experience to specialise in cash flow forecasting and management. Brendan excels at using this knowledge to help organisations effect financial change
Michelle was born and raised in Dimboola and has been a part of the Capitis family since 2000. Michelle is married to Craig and the two operate a farm in Rupanyup. Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, going on holidays and has a keen interest in sport, especially watching her two daughters play netball, tennis, basketball and volleyball. Michelle is a keen supporter of the local community and is involved with the Rupanyup Football Netball Club as well as the Rupanyup Tennis Club.
Michelle is a specialist in all things related to self-managed super funds and has extensive personal and business tax experience.
Carmel, a Certified Practicing Accountant, has been a member of the Capitis team since 2011. Carmel is married to Glenn who is a local builder, and the two have a son Nixon and daughter Zetta.
Carmel is a specialist in small business tax advice, GST and tax planning.

Calinda grew up in Donald and has been part of the Capitis team since 2002. Calinda is married to Matt, and the couple have two children and have established a farm near Banyena. Calinda is heavily involved in the community and is the current treasurer for the Rupanyup Football Netball Club and Rupanyup Community Centre as well being a board member of the Rupanyup Minyip Finance Group.
Calinda is a Reckon Accredited Professional Partner and is class leading across Australia in her knowledge of all things Quickbooks and Reckon.
Meryn joined the Capitis Team in 2002. Meryn is a keen supporter of her families sporting activities, be it her husband’s bowling team or her daughter’s hockey team.
Meryn has over 10 years experience in the provision of financial planning advice and holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
Prior to joining the Capitis family, Meryn worked with Centrelink for 24 years and this past knowledge makes her a specialist in this field. Meryn is also an expert in aged care related matters, as well as succession and estate planning.
Warren initially founded Capitis in 1979 before retiring from the partnership in 2013. Warren has now moved to the role of a financial advisor. Warren holds numerous qualifications including a Bachelor of Economics, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants as well as being a Certified Financial Planner.
Warren utilises over 30 years of experience in the Wimmera to provide the best financial advice.
Melinda joined the Capitis family as a bright faced teenager in 2002. Since then, Melinda has grown to manage the day to day business operations of the firm as well as managing the HR, Finance, Marketing and Payroll operations of Capitis.
Sharon initially joined the Capitis team as an 18 year old and worked alongside Warren for two years. Sharon then worked for the local disability service provider, Woodbine for 15 years in a wide range of roles from receptionist to finance manager. After a few years spent starting a family, Sharon returned to the Capitis team and can be found in the Warracknabeal Office.
Sharon has over 25 years’ experience as a bookkeeper. Sharon specialises in bookkeeping for farms and small businesses.
Vicki joined Capitis in 2010 and is the first point of contact when you visit the Capitis office. Vicki can be found in the Dimboola office on Mondays and Thursdays.
